Round ripe tomatoes in an abstract expressionist treatment: the forms enlarged and luminous in orange and red, set against swirling deep green that suggests leaf and vine without describing either precisely. The approach gives the composition an energy and fullness that more literal representations of the same subject would not find. The colour contrast drives everything. A canvas that understands what abstraction can do with familiar subject matter.
Kitchen wall art for homes where a food subject treated boldly and without apology earns its place. Works in a kitchen where a vivid abstract canvas about tomatoes brings genuine colour and energy to the space, and in a dining room where the orange-red and deep green palette adds exactly the vibrancy the room calls for. An emphatic and satisfying piece.
