Spices in watercolour, freed from any obligation to stay in their bowls: the surrealist approach gives the composition its particular energy, the fluid medium allowing the subject to become something altogether stranger and more alive than a conventional arrangement would permit. The palette is vivid throughout, the washes of colour building a chaotic harmony that holds the eye.
Kitchen wall decor for homes where the cooking and the art share the same appetite for the unexpected. Works as horizontal wall art in a kitchen or dining room where a landscape canvas with a surreal subject and vivid watercolour palette suits the available space, and in any room where food and art meet in the most imaginative terms. A distinctly spirited piece.
