Where the Smedbo Outline FK306 uses frosted elements to introduce contrast, the FK308 makes a different choice entirely. Everything here is chrome — the oval base disc, the upright pole, the cylindrical brush container, the cantilever roll arm. Mirror-polished throughout, from the floor to the dome finial at the top. It is the bolder, more monolithic expression of the Outline range, and in the right bathroom it is quietly spectacular.

The one concession to softness is the brush container lid — a chromed brass outer ring with a frosted acrylic inset at its centre. It is a small detail, barely visible at a glance, but it connects the FK308 to the FK306's material language in the most restrained way possible. Everything else is uncompromisingly reflective.

The toilet roll holder is a single horizontal bar extending perpendicularly from the upright — a cantilever arm with a small dome finial at its end. No frame, no cage. The roll slides on and sits there, held by nothing more than the bar itself. It is a more architectural detail than a conventional holder, and it suits the FK308's character exactly.

The brush head is replaceable, extending the life of the piece well beyond what a lesser product would offer.

How to Use

Place the unit freestanding beside the toilet — no wall fixing required. Slide a toilet roll onto the cantilever arm. The chrome cylinder houses the toilet brush; lift the handle to remove for use and replace after. When the brush head wears, fit a compatible Smedbo replacement. Clean all chrome surfaces with a soft damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals to preserve the mirror-polished finish.
