A pear with a face and a purposeful stride, umbrella raised against the downpour, making its way down a rainy city street with a kind of cheerful determination: the premise is entirely committed to and the execution follows through. The warm glow from shop windows reflects in the puddles below, giving the whole scene a cosiness that the rain only enhances. The level of illustrative detail rewards looking at closely.
Quirky kitchen wall art for homes where the art is expected to earn a smile and hold it. Works in a kitchen where a charming, character-led piece with a light touch suits the available wall, and in a dining room where the art is expected to prompt conversation before the food arrives. A canvas that delivers on both counts.
