A garlic clove wearing a tiny chef's hat, enthusiastically grinding itself in a mortar and pestle: this is the surreal kitchen logic that only makes sense the moment you encounter it. The muted palette of purples and grays keeps the absurdity contained and somehow more effective for it. The canvas commits entirely to its conceit, and the conceit commits to being the most cheerful possible interpretation of garlic self-sacrifice.
Quirky kitchen wall art for cooks who find the philosophical implications of cooking genuinely amusing. Works above a kitchen counter, beside the mortar and pestle you actually use, and in any home that has decided its walls should have a sense of humour as developed as its residents. Suits an eclectic or contemporary interior.
