The CSF Mercedes AMG M157 / M278 / M133 High-Performance Auxiliary Radiator is engineered to deliver superior thermal management for a range of Mercedes-Benz AMG models. Designed as a critical component within the vehicle’s cooling system, this auxiliary radiator enhances overall heat dissipation, ensuring optimal engine and intake air temperatures under demanding conditions. By effectively reducing engine water temperatures and serving as the heat exchange medium for the air-to-water charge-air coolers in turbocharged systems, it plays a vital role in maintaining peak performance and reliability.
Constructed from 100% all-aluminum with advanced TIG welding techniques, this auxiliary radiator offers exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion. Its robust design includes a 2-row, 68mm high-performance core featuring CSF’s exclusive B-Tube technology, which significantly surpasses the OEM 1-row, 42mm core in cooling capacity. The ultra-efficient 6.5mm tall multi-louvered fins maximize surface area contact, enhancing heat transfer efficiency and contributing to a prolonged heat soak threshold. This ensures that the engine operates within optimal temperature ranges even during intense driving scenarios.
Unlike OEM auxiliary radiators, which typically provide minimal protection against environmental factors, the CSF auxiliary radiator includes a detachable rock guard. This feature guards against debris accumulation and potential core punctures, thereby extending the radiator’s service life and maintaining consistent cooling performance. To achieve balanced cooling across both sides of the vehicle, CSF recommends purchasing two units for models equipped with dual auxiliary radiators from the factory. For comprehensive cooling optimization, installation in conjunction with the CSF Front Mount Heat Exchanger (part number 8197) is advised.
