Every scratch-builder gets through styrene rod — pipes, aerials, handrails, structural framing, the lot. These solid round polystyrene rods cut clean, glue with standard cement and take paint without fuss, so they slot straight into conversions, dioramas and terrain.
Why it's good
Cuts and shapes with a hobby knife
Bonds with standard plastic cement
Ideal for piping, aerials and fine detail
Keep a range of diameters in the drawer and you'll always have the right rod for a repair or a scratch-build.
Reference: AK6536. Pair with thicker rods and styrene sheet for a full scratch-building kit.
