Such siphoning may be prevented by fitting the V-ASDH at least 40cm above the waterline.
The Vetus ASDH air vent is ideal for toilets or holding tanks which are installed below the waterline. The anti-siphon vent comes complete with a skin fitting, hose clamps, and 4m of breather hose. Features a hose connection to the outside of the hull. There is a constant bleed off of cooling water through this hose, whilst the engine is running. Can be easily dismantled by hand for cleaning.
For hose ID sizes: 1/2" (13mm), 3/4" (19mm), 1" (25mm), 1-1/4" (32mm).

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0622/2358/1408/files/v-asdh_a98aba00-34b5-433d-93f9-852119f5fda3.jpg?v=1792526270
https://www.carouselstore.co.uk/products/vetus-asdh-anti-siphon-air-vent-with-hose-and-fittings-13mm-32mm-v-asdh
